1902 picture of the Foster House. This house was located just north of The Chicago & NorthWestern Historic Depot and was a resting spot for many weary travelers. The original check-in book from this hotel shows Sitting Bull, along with Buffalo Bill, stayed in the hotel on their way to meet with the President of the United States.

Redfield College 1885-1932

Redfield College was begun in 1885 by the pastor and congregation of the German Evangelical Congregational Church. It continued until 1932 when it merged with Yankton College.
