The Second Annual Train Day will be a day of barrel train rides, model train layouts, photo ops, speaker on railroad history, free stuff, motorcar rides on Ategra rails, concessions and more. Designed for the young and young at heart.

Rick Mills, director of the SD State RR Museum in Hill City will be speaking at ll am. He will be telling the story of a century of SD passenger trains.

You may also enjoy one of the other scheduled activities or displays.

The Pheasant Capital of the World®

Redfield is the first recorded place in South Dakota to successfully introduce the Chinese Ringneck Pheasant. This lead to the first open season on October 30, 1919. From Spink County, pheasant hunting grew throughout the state. Hunters still flock to Redfield to bag their limit.
