The US Post Office in Redfield was built in 1916-17 and little has changed with the building, though a ramp was added to the front. Still a beautiful historic building, just a half a block off main street. Gorgeous woodwork, vintage mail boxes and friendly staff to greet customers.

The Pheasant Capital of the World®

Redfield is the first recorded place in South Dakota to successfully introduce the Chinese Ringneck Pheasant. This lead to the first open season on October 30, 1919. From Spink County, pheasant hunting grew throughout the state. Hunters still flock to Redfield to bag their limit.
